Sunny Weekend

Thankful for a warm, sunny weekend in LA! I got a chance to see some really cool ice sculptures in Long Beach, go ice skating for the first time in 10 years, eat yummy food, go to the beach, and found some time to go shopping! So happy that I can walk and enjoy life. Thank you. :)

Christmas Eve

Thankful for getting out of work by noon on Christmas Eve. Also thankful for the chance to go hiking on a beautiful, 80 degrees, sunny day in LA. :)

Spending Time with Friends

I am thankful for all the time, dinners, laughs, and stories that have been shared with all of my friends over the past couple weeks! I couldn't ask for a better way to spend my time during the holidays. I love being able to spend my time with people that I love and care about. I'm thankful for the gifts that I've received so far. Life is good!

Japan

Thankful to spend 2 weeks with my close friends on an amazing trip to Japan! It was the best trip ever!

Thankful to have gotten reservations to eat at Sukiyabashi Jiro in Ginza! 

Thankful for all the wonderful memories!

Turning 30!

Thankful for my family, awesome friends, and yummy food! It's been an amazing 30 years of life, and looking forward to many more to come! :)

Magic Castle

Thankful for the opportunity to check out the Magic Castle! Saw some awesome magic! Made some new friends. Had a good time. :)

Family Time

Thankful that I got to spend some time with my family today.

Also thankful that I have my business cards on me. I met a guy who did a guest lecture at USC and is currently a compliance officer for the FDA. Had a nice convo with him. :)

Naps

Thankful for finding the time to nap today. I totally needed it. :)

Ability to Drive

I'm thankful that I can still drive with my good right leg. I'm also glad that I have a temporary handicapped parking placard. It comes in really handy!

Oahu, Hawaii

Thankful for the chance to spend 5 days in Oahu, Hawaii! I'm so glad that my awesome friends were willing to drive me around, to look for wheelchairs, to bring me food, and to help be my arms/legs while I was on crutches in Hawaii. I was so glad that I was able to have a good time! And I was so glad that I was able to sit on the beach. The weather and the beaches were gorgeous! And the food was amazing! :)

Crutches

Thankful that I didn't break anything and that my foot is not in a cast. Thankful for crutches. They are definitely your best friends when your foot is injured.

Lobster Festival

I'm thankful for the fun experience I had with my friends at the Lobster Festival in Long Beach.

Labor Day Weekend

I'm thankful for the beautiful, sunny weather we had this weekend for Labor Day! I'm thankful for all the sleep that I had. Also thankful that I live in a safe neighborhood where I can go walking/jogging at night. And I love living by the coast! :)

Three-Day Weekend

I'm so glad it's a three-day weekend. I was so happy that it was Friday today! It's been a busy, long week at work. I haven't felt this exhausted in a long time.. it's nice to have a break. Yay for Labor Day! :)

Quadrilingual

I'm thankful for being able to speak/communicate in 4 languages. Living and working in LA has made me so thankful for choosing Spanish as my language course in high school. Sadly, my Spanish is a lot better than my Chinese (Toisan, Cantonese, Mandarin). And I'm still trying to learn more Japanese.. the Asian languages are so much harder to learn since I don't really get an opportunity to use them. But I do like to learn when I can. :)

Diabetes

I am thankful that I am not diabetic. I help treat and care for those who have diabetes. I can't imagine living a life where I have to inject insulin in myself daily, check my blood sugars daily, and watch what I eat. As a foodie, it would be extremely difficult to give up what I enjoy doing. So I need to take care of myself by working out to take care of my pancreas and my health.

West LA

I'm thankful for living in an awesome, cozy place in West LA. It's nice to be about 15 minutes away from the beach, Santa Monica, 3rd street promenade, Little Tokyo, Koreatown, etc. Gotta love the beach and the nice coastal breeze that I can feel on a nice, warm sunny day like today.

Tastemade

I am thankful that one of my friends invited me to a free BBQ sponsored my Tastemade. I got a chance to meet one of the founders, who was really nice and funny. I also got a chance to catch up with old friends that I haven't seen in a while. Today was a perfect day to have a BBQ in Santa Monica. :)

Helping Others

There are some days where I work 12 or 13 hours.. and sometimes even bring work home. There are some weeks where I work 40-50 hours.. and I would feel so mentally exhausted. However, when I have patients that come in to request to only see me, to call me their "angel", to see their smiling faces and hear them express their sincerity and gratitude for my services, that makes all the hard work pay off. :) Nothing makes me happier than to see how others are thankful and appreciative of any/all the time I spend with them to make sure that they feel better and that they are educated about this health. I love my job so much! :) I'm thankful for them and I guess they are thankful for me.

I smiled so much when one of my patients told me that he was so grateful to have met the clinical pharmacy team because he's never received such great care, time and attention from a provider. And he's glad that we are here to help serve him and other people who really need it. :)

Good Food with Great Company

On Monday, I had an amazing meal with my coworkers. We had to celebrate the last day of their pharmacy residency at one of the best restaurants in LA - Pizzeria Mozza! They had the best pizza I've ever had in my life! And the burrata cheese (capese) was to die for! :)

Today, I had another yummy meal with my roommate and a college friend that I haven't seen in awhile. It's always great to find a moment in your busy day to meet up with a friend and catch up. Thankful for yummy food and friends!

Yelp Elite

Today I am thankful for being a Yelp Elite member! I met some new people who are also food-lovers (like me!). I got invited for a free yoga class, got a free goodie bag (with a free tank top!) and a free catered lunch from True Food Kitchen in Santa Monica. It was an awesome way to start the day! Exercise and vegan food. It was lots of fun! :)

Doctors

I'm thankful for having the opportunity to work with a couple great internal medicine doctors at my clinic. I'm so sad to see them leave.. but it's great to know that they truly appreciate the clinical pharmacy team and that they're going to miss us. I really would love to see more clinical pharmacists work with other health care providers in a team player / medical home model. Patients love it and gives us a great way to connect the gaps in care.

Great Co-workers

I'm thankful for having awesome co-workers to keep me going through the day! We share so many laughs, inside jokes, recipes, and life stories.. I feel like they're my family! We've had so many bonding experiences that I can't imagine how I can go through my sometimes crazy work day(s). Love them so much! :)

Sunny Day

Today, I am thankful for leaving work before 5pm (which rarely happens!). Finally got a chance to enjoy the beautiful, sunny day in LA! :) And made it in time to have a yummy meal at The Capital Grille.

Friends

For 2013, I've been thinking about writing down at least one thing that I am thankful or blessed for having in my life. I think we take too many things for granted and forget to take a moment to reflect upon something positive that happened in our day. So here's the first post...

I am blessed for all the friendships that I've made so far in my life.. whether we met in school, work, friends of friends, online or even at a food event. My life is now richer with all of you in my life. :)
